Online Counsellor
Sue

Hi my name is Sue.  I have lived in Gloucestershire for 25 years.  I have worked for TIC+ as a counsellor since January 2015 seeing young people in their schools, doctor’s surgeries and community centres all over Gloucestershire.

I love the countryside.  Since being a young child I have had a passion for horses.  I also love walking my dogs and spending time with my friends and family.  I love reality TV!  My favourites are First Dates and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.  Despite my age I still listen to Radio One!

Qualifications

I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology and I’m currently doing a Post Graduate Diploma in Enhanced Evidence Based Practice for Children and Young People with Depression and Anxiety.

Therapies Offered

I am trained to work in a Person Centred approach which means that I listen without judging and I try to help my clients to find a way to feel better that best fits with them.  I have also done some training in CBT and use this in my work as this can help when clients are stuck in very negative ways of thinking.

I absolutely love working with young people.  The most important thing to me is to build a relationship with my clients.  I want them to feel that I understand them, that I won’t judge them and that I’m on their side. I find it really rewarding when I can help young people to achieve what that want to achieve and feel happier and more positive about themselves and their future.

Membership of Professional Bodies

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

When I am available online

I am available online on Monday and Thursday evenings.
