Hi, my name is Anwen and I’ve been a qualified counsellor since 2008. In my spare time I enjoy music and in the summer I am a regular festival goer. I enjoy taking my little girl for walks outdoors into the woods and the countryside and love visiting family on the west coast of Wales. I have travelled extensively, and have visited many countries in Asia, South America and Europe.

Training Qualifications and Experience

Since then I have worked as a counsellor in schools in the south Wales valleys, and then here in the Forest of Dean for the last few years. Previous to that I did a degree in Psychology and worked as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities.

I trained as an integrative counsellor at the University of Wales, Newport. The relationship I develop with my client is key to the counselling process. I am empathic and supportive, and aim to offer a non judgemental, safe and confidential space.

Membership of Professional Body

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP – number 63071)
