  • Volunteer Office Assistant (4+ hrs/week)

    TIC+ (Teens in Crisis) will provide face to face and online counselling to over 2000 children, young people and their families in Gloucestershire this year.

    We are now looking for a Volunteer Office Assistant to volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours a week on a Monday, with a commitment of at least 6 months.

    The role will involve filing, copying and general administrative tasks to support our busy administrative team.

    The role will be based at our Head Office in Mitcheldean.

  • Gloucester-based Online Counsellor for Children and Young People

    Due to an exciting period of growth we are seeking to employ counsellors/psychotherapists to provide online counselling (text-chat) for children and young people aged 11-25 years. You will join a passionate, dedicated and professional team based either at our counselling offices in Mitcheldean, or at our office in central Gloucester.

    Successful applicants will:

    - Hold a relevant professional qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy at Diploma level or above (or equivalent).
    - Be a member of BACP or equivalent and also listed on the BACP or equivalent Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
    - Have more than 150 hours of post qualification supervised clinical practice working with young people.
    - Have received (or are soon to receive) specialist training of at least 100 hours to work with young people according to the BACP competencies (can be accessed at TIC+)

    A specialist certified online counselling training course will be provided free of charge to successful candidates who do not already hold such a qualification.

    Online supervision from a specialist online supervisor will be provided for all online counsellors.

    Terms: Fixed term 12 months (52 weeks per year) commencing ASAP. It is hoped the contract will be extended beyond this period subject to funding.

    Holiday: You will receive 5.6 weeks’ holiday inclusive of public/bank holidays (pro-rata for part time employees).

    Hours of Work: There are several 5.5 hour shifts (3.45pm – 9.15pm) and one 4.5 hour shift (4.45pm – 9.15pm) per week available. One of these shifts will commence in September 2019. You may apply for more than one shift per week.

    Possible working days are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

    Place of Work: TIC+ offices in Mitcheldean or at our office in central Gloucester.

    Pay: £12.33 - £15.76 per hour depending on experience
